Our research focuses on the physiology and sperm cryobiology applied to genetic improvement or conservation of different species, breeds or varieties of economic interest or threatened.

Great part of our work has been based on the study of the effects of oxidative stress on sperm samples and finding solutions to avoid its negative effect. Thus, we have studied the effect of adding different antioxidants in preserving sperm samples.

The assessment of the fertility potential of a semen sample has been the paramount objective of semen analysis. Thus, our objective is to develop laboratory techniques that allow us, in a quick and effective manner, the evaluation of the potential fertility of a given sperm sample.
